It’s turn now for the French to shock. The name of this French classic drama, L’Amour violé or Rape of Love released in 1978 speaks much about itself. It’s the story of a nurse, played by the beautiful Nathalie Nell, who gets raped one night by four men. Scarred emotionally and physically, she feels she cannot recover from the trauma until a friend advises her to file a lawsuit. The rape scene is a long, compelling one and the acting is superb. Nathalie Nell has a lovely body but I must say this scene is more disturbing than sexy. Probably one of the most realistic and disturbing rape scenes from any movie and surely comparable to Monica Bellucci’s Irreversible rape scene.
